FAQ

Where will wedding updates be posted?

We will share any updates via our wedding website. We will also send periodic update emails in advance of the wedding and will be sure to send any major announcements or updates via email as well.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding will be outdoors! Weather pending, the ceremony will take place fully outside. The reception will take place under a tent.

What is the dress code?

We ask that our guests wear cocktail attire — dresses (of all lengths), jumpsuits, and suits (with or without ties) are all fair game. The weather in Vermont in October is in the high 50s to low 30s, so please dress warmly and bring a layer. As we are not having a traditional bridal party, we also encourage you to join in the fun and dress in the wedding color palette! Our colors are — Rosewood (HEX 510606) Bright Bronze (HEX A45A22) Underbrush Gold (HEX BD9B46) Equatorial Forest (HEX 6F8A61) Nettle Green (HEX 334C29)

Can I wear heels?

If you absolutely want to, go for it — however, the event will be taking place outside and you will need to walk across a fair amount of grass to get to both the ceremony and reception sites. If it helps, Kylie and Caleb will both end up wearing boots of some kind for both comfort and ease.

Are children invited?

Yes! If you wish to bring your kids with you to Vermont, we’re happy to have them. Please connect with Kylie and Caleb at least five weeks ahead of the wedding to confirm your child/children’s attendance and lock in any details. We will have limited access to additional, indoor space if needed.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

The Farm at Williams River is located at 397 Peck Road, located off of Vermont Route 103. There is ample parking on-property for everyone! We are not providing any formal transportation for the events, however the ceremony and reception are in the same location. Please stay safe and buddy up with folks if you plan to drink.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes! There is parking available on-site. When you arrive, you will be directed to the parking location.

Will there be a Pittsburgh Cookie Table?

Yes, obviously.

What the hell is a Pittsburgh Cookie Table?

So glad you asked. The Pittsburgh Cookie Table is literally a table with dozens of dozens of cookies, often served at weddings and other celebrations in the Pittsburgh area. The history on the Cookie Table is “murky” (per Lauren Uhl, the Heinz History Center’s curator of food & fitness), but is likely of Italian and/or Polish tradition and/or came about during the Great Depression as a way to serve desserts without splurging on a cake. Prepare to eat a lot of cookies on October 19th. We don't make the rules, the Cookie gods do.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

The formal ceremony and reception will tentatively end around 10/10:30pm. Weather permitting, there will be an after-party on-property around the fire pit, located behind the farmhouse.

I have another question that you didn’t cover here, who can I contact?

Please email any questions to maddenraff@gmail.com — either Kylie, Caleb, or another trusted friend or family member will get back to you! You can also text Kylie or Caleb, but we may not have an immediate answer for you if you text us at 2am on a Wednesday or we’ll forget to text you back… so maybe text us *and* email us.
